I have a 1995 5speed That i have converted to a 360LA Carb and its got some kick to it. or just getting on the gas quick it tears the motor mounts in half and has even went as far as tearing the transmission mount in half and kicking the trans off to the side. Any suggestions on how to make this not happen. Plan to chain down the motor to the frame to minimize motor movement. Note it has LA Style Mounts and not the magnum motor mounts. The transmission mount is stock 95 style tho. If they make solid transmission mounts and LA Style motor mounts that would be my best bet i think if any one could find any

Moroso makes a solid steel engine mount for small block Mopars. You might also want to check out polyurethane mounts for a bit less vibration. Check SummitRacing.com or ManciniRacing.com for options.

 

I read in one of the magazines years ago to get genuine mopar motor mounts. They are supposed to stay together but i never had any issues with motor mounts.
