At the end of the video where I start back up the throttle position and relative throttle start to climb as I drive again. I think maybe the beginning of the clip posted here I was coasting? I wish I had a way to upload the whole file.

The issue definitely acts much worse in reverse although of course both directions are a problem. I'll hook the computer up tomorrow and capture live data of what it does when put in reverse. Maybe that would be helpful information. Let me know if there is anything else I can do that would give you guys better clues.

Could upload the file to someplace else, Youtube? Imageshack? Or similar site, then just link to it here.

Just recorded about 5-10 minutes of riding around the neighborhood and it didn't shut off at all when I stopped or slowed down. Got it back while still recording data and tried going in reverse and this is what happened. RPMs went crazy as it died and tried to rev up again a few times before stalling out.

Map sensor readings seem kinda strange.... with throttle closed, I would expect to see a reasonably high absolute pressure, and I'm not...... Is the little vacuum elbow dry rotted?

Are you referring to this little threeway thing? It doesn't look or feel bad at all.

Map I think is mounted to the front of the throttle body, and the little elbow feller hides underneath it.

Alright I'll check that one in the morning. I should've known but there's plenty of vacuum lines and elbows on this thing

Bag o' Snakes comes to mind. Not as bad as some of the late 70's cars with thousands of miles of vacuum lines for all the emissions crap.

Ok, try 2...
If it was supposed to have an elbow, there was nothing on the throttle body that came with this engine and the motor that was in the truck had a different type of throttle body so I had nothing to switch over. I connected it with a piece of clear hose that is a good fit on each end. I think I'm gonna add a hose clamp to the throttle body side just in case though.
