Default Quadcab rear seatbelt switch mod

I have a 98 quadcab and am needing to install a booster seat in the rear passenger side seat location. The issue is, the reactor switch on our trucks doesn't snug up ,even when pulled sll the way out and fed back, as newer vehicles do. I have talked to a seat belt company who said they can retrofit the other style of switch into my mechanism to allow it to function this way. My question is, has anyone done this themselves and know what is involved?

I'd probably just make seat hooks bolted to the floor, they work so much better than seat belt securing

all of these seats i've used have two locking clips that hook to metal hooks preinstalled in most cars after the mid 2000s

They aren't installed in 98 at least. The seat belt mechanism in the rear sides only has an inertia switch for lack of proper term, and does not hold tension on lap belt unless truck is braking hard.on some other vehicles of this era , you can extend the belt completely out and once retracted it will then hold tension.our trucks aren't like this.
