Default P1683 with ABS & Brake Light

Recently had my ABS and brake light pop on at the same time. They won’t be there when you start up the truck but when you hit about 40-45 it pops on. There’s a P1683 code which is apparently something to do with speed control. Truck feels like it drives and brakes fine. Brake fluid level is full. Only thing is that the cruise control doesn’t work but it hasn’t worked for a year or so…

Anyone have experience with this?

Cruise control power circuit open or shorted...... Need to check the power feed for the cruise servo... Which is under the battery tray..... Yeah, that's fun to get to.

yeah probably not a bad idea. The roads have been super salty and wet this year so I’ll go through that entire area.

Well I got an update for you. It’s fixed. It ended up being that the brake lamp switch connector at the top of the brake pedal got yanked out. Feel like an idiot, lol, but it’s fixed and it was simple.

thanks for your help.
