I've had this problem since I bought the truck but at this point its just making me mad. I would be driving at night and the high beams would just shut off and it would take a minute for them to come back on.

 

Pull your headlight switch and check the wiring harness that plugs into it. It's very common for the wires to melt over time in the plastic connector due to the high amount of current that runs through the headlight switch.

 

I second that !! I just had to replace the switch and plug. Found a very affordable pair on ebay
