1995 5.9L no crank/single click
When I bought the vehicle, the guy who sold it to me, told me that there’s an issue with the ignition process, and that you need to sort of wobble, the shifting rod in order to get the starter to kick over during ignition. Otherwise, there’s just a singular click sound. This problem is intermittent, but has become significantly worse the past week. I’ve checked my battery levels. They’re good. I have tested my starter relay and it has good readings. I have removed and tested my starter and it works fine. I have gone into the ignition cylinder and clean that all up, also seems to be working just fine.
After looking online for quite a bit, I realize that it could be any of the issues that I listed, and I’ve had a few people suggest my neutral safety switch and the neutral safety sensor. I have checked the neutral safety sensor and it’s fine but I don’t think it could be the neutral safety sensor or the neutral safety switch because I get the singular click.
Any help on the issue would be Grand. Thank you!

So I’m not sure what fixed it, but I swapped relays with one similar, and also took out my starter, and just tried to clean it up as best as possible. I accidentally broke off all the plastic housing trying to remove it, so I coated all the wires with some liquid rubber, and also taped it up afterwards.
started every time there after.
I think the nastiness that was all around the starter was just collapsing the circuit, and I think that because the problem occurred more often when bad weather was apparent, and would remain in affect for a few days after suggesting moisture somewhere in the electrical.
