95 ram 2500 5.9l v8. Motor is new less than 500 miles on it. Truck has a nv3500 5 speed manual and plenty of power. I have 35s on it and a slight lift (bought that way) When I let off the throttle with the clutch in when I'm in stop and go traffic or approaching a light the engine sometimes dies. It will idle way down and just stop.
Throttle body is clean as a whistle, new TPS, IAC, Air Filter. Have also replaced egr valve and the transducer as well as pcv valve when I rebuilt the motor. The only thing I can think of is a worn fuel pump. It runs amazing and starts right up though. It's just when the idle drops too low when under a load. It will do it when I'm backing up sometimes with my wheel turned sharp. I need to get it pinpointed and fixed it's a dangerous thing as it's died in traffic before. Battery is about 4 years old, however load test shows its good.
Any help is appreciated. Heres the motor my dad and I built for it.

I did and haven't pulled or replaced the crank or cam sensors. I will pull that today and replace it. 90% of the sensors and everything are new as the truck is a 95 and when I installed the new motor I wanted everything refreshed. I did however install the old cam and crank sensors.
Don't necessarily have to replace it, just check it for damage. That's almost standard fare when engine or trans get swapped..... Best to get the big piece in first, then install the sensor.
I'll be damned the crank sensor was cracked at the top below the brace. It was also bent to the left and not straight. Replaced it and so far no more issues with it dying. I've only driven across town, however I put it through the paces that caused it to die before and so far so good. I must have smacked it installing the motor. Thanks HeyYou.

We would ALL be pointing and laughing if we hadn't done similar things before. Sometimes several times! Just remember, if you make a mistake, you've made a discovery. I know I've made lots of discoveries myself.
