Default 01 ram shifting issues... Still after new transmission swap

Hey y'all, I bought a 01 ram with the 5.9, blew transmission within the first two weeks, found another parts truck and put in that transmission which guy said was "recently rebuilt" it is someone I've known a while so I do have some trust in that, but I am still having issues with the truck shifting, shifting from 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th I have to let off the gas a touch and force it to shift or it will simply hold I self in gear at way high rpm. Also at wide open it will not shift from second properly, it hits the limiter and tacs out. Same thing if I'm cruising and then put it to the floor, it downshifts to second gear and holds at the r v limiter... Would that be signs of shift solenoid or something else? I don't wanna blow this new tranny and this is currently my only vehicle.
Thanks on advance!!

Same year and model, these shifting issues were the exact same issues I had with the others tranny before it blew, which makes me think it's a solenoid or an electrical issue somewhere

If you replaced the entire trans, and still have the same issues, it ain't the trans that is the problem..... Check connections at PCM, make sure everything there is clean, and tight. If you have a scanner that can read live data, monitor trans data, and see what looks strange.
