Is that where you are planning on porting too? wouldn't you be better using putty and transferring the head ports to the intake? I'm not a porting expert but to me the gasket is bigger than the ports. and having the intake ports bigger than the head could create a rough turbulence edge as it enters the head

About a 9 months ago, I purchased and ceramic coated some JBA Shorties. Since I am doing all this intake work I figured no better time than the present to bolt on shorty headers.

What did you do about the leaking plenum gasket? Hughes kit or just replace it?

I got it back together and it runs. I have not taken it out to romp on it, but i drove it around the block to get it warmed up and topped off the fluids.
Recap:
1. Replaced plenum plate with Hughes plenum fix
2. I cut out the plenum divider.
3. shortened the runners about 3/4"
4. ported both runner inlet and exit. gasket matched the (exit) intake on the cylinder side.
5. gasket matched/ported intake on the cylinder head
6. Mildly ported the throttle body.
7. Replace, rotor, spark plugs and wires.
8. oil change
9. replaced old vacuum caps on kegger
completly put back together.
completly put back together.
