97 dodge 5.9 p0172
Sorry got busy at work but i think i've made a discovery
Plugs are new, just replaced them last weekend, old plugs was very black and smelled like fuel, also bought valve seals because i suspected that was my issue.
Whilst taking the passenger side valve cover off, i realized that one of the two ground wires on the passenger side firewall was broken, checking my other 97 i found that this ground wire runs to the intake manifold bolt. ChatGpt claims that this specific ground wire is used by the computer for the throttle body sensors, and without it, it would almost certainly cause the rich/lean conditions i've been experiencing. So i fixed that, and this week i plan to do valve seals, and with any luck i'll have it whipped, fingers crossed lol
