Hey y'alls. So I've got a 1999 Ram 1500 Laramie SLT. The rumor was from the original owner who bought it new in 1999 that it came with a Key FOB originally. My passenger side door lock has been jammed for years and I don't want to have to carry an extra key or rekey both locks and the ignition so my thinking is I'd like to get a FOB set up for it again. What's the best way to go about doing this? Do I basically have to go to the nearest dodge dealership and pay out the a$$ or do I have other options here?

 

See if you can find a local locksmith that can program key fobs and tell him what you're trying to do to see if the locksmith in that area can program a keyfob for you.
