Propane torch for exhaust pipe screws.
My bolts are just rusted out real bad where the exhaust pipe meets the catalytic convertor pipe. If I cut one side of the bolt off and heat it up with a propane torch, do you think it would get hot enough for me to tap that out with a hammer and pin? Like a handheld torch kit. I've never used one to do something like this so I thought I'd ask first.
The answer is: probably. It may take awhile and you'll probably not be able to get it cherry red, but it still stands a chance.
Today's MAPP Pro is only a couple hundred degrees hotter, but sometimes the torches seem to throw a better flame. Watch pawn shops or garage sales for old bottles of real MAPP which is a couple thousand degrees hotter
