Default Steering linkage 96 Dodge

Good afternoon. I was wondering if they made a T style steering linkage set up for a 96 1500 4x4. The adjustment collars on mine are frozen. I plan on trying to free them up, but would like to upgrade in the future. If they do not make a T style steering set up what would be the best brand for replacement? Thank you for the help.

It's a dana axle, so, yeah, t-steering is out there, but, it has issues all it's own..... I actually liked the inverted Y steering better.... as the T-steering suffered from 'tie-rod roll', which game me a dead spot in the steering, that expanded over time...... (mine came stock with t-steering.....)

Quality of replacement parts has slid a long way since I had to deal with it..... I really don't know who is good, and who isn't any more....

You live in the rust belt so they all are. Especially if the slot ends up in the up position where it can hold water/dirt. You can usually get a chisel in there to open it up then lube/beat and try to turn it.

I'm going to soak them down with Kroil to see if I can get them to free up. The truck tracks straight and doesn't pull either way even when I let go of the wheel, but the wheel is about 10 degrees to the right. Just put new tires on her so I don't want to ruin them prematurely

Take it in for an alignment..... Them folks have the tools/equipment to get them fellers to break loose..... and they will tell you what needs replaced so your new tires last a good long time.

could try jumping the steering sector one spline and see if it corrects the wheel angle, but your distance of travel may change one direction to the other

I did when I got new tires, they could not get it freed up. Not really sure how hard they tried. I figure I will keep spraying it down everyday for a week then attempt to get them freed up. Gives me a reason to buy a new tool. Nice thing about the truck is that it is not my daily driver so I have time to figure it out. Worst case I heat it up with a torch then hose it down. Otherwise the steering itself is pretty solid. No wandering in it what so ever.

Are you talking about pulling the steering wheel and moving over 1 notch to the left?.
