I have a 94 dodge ram 2500 with a Magnum 360 engine. I'm getting .67 volts at idle not running key on and 3.75 at wide open throttle. Seems like 3.75 volts seems low. What's everybody's thoughts? Could this cause any issues?

 

Not unusual. I believe, that so long as it is under 1 volt at idle, over 3 at WOT, it's all good. If you scanner will tell you, see what it thinks throttle % is at various openings.

 

The FSM states "approximately" 1-4 V so it's ballpark correct.

 

Are you having issues? The TPS is a potentiometer, If it doesn't have constant return voltage to the pcm it will cause issues. A failing sensor will show sporadic readings or possibly drop out.

 

Volt meter doesn't show any thing unusual as I slowly worked it to full throttle and back down. I'm trying to fix a problem that sometimes the truck has nice throttle response, and other times it's sluggish ( more throttle needed).

 

Did you check fuel pressure? Aware of the plenum gasket issue? Any codes?

 

Fuel pressure is a steady 45 and I did the plenum leak check by pulling and blocking off the pcv valve and the breather and checked for any vacuum at the dipstick tube. Had pressure no vacuum. I have no check engine light and no codes stored. Not sure what's going on with this truck.
