I see an access door on the NP241DHD transfer case, what is this for? The GM NP241C (pretty much the same except for the access door) does not have this, but I cannot find any sort of PTO type attachment online.

Can someone educate me on what this access compartment is for?

That's what it was for, but, I don't know if any of them actually GOT the PTO...... I would say check New Ventures site, but, not sure they even exist any more.

 

DHD = PTO
DLD = no PTO
