2001 dodge ram 1500

Default 2001 dodge ram 1500

I have a fuel evap leak (large), can anyone recommend how to locate and solve the issue.

Not to sound facetious, even though I usually am. Check your fuel filler cap. A loose or missing cap will set that off in short order.

I really wish I knew I turned it on heard a weird noise hit the hood latch opened my door then heard a boom and fire started pouring out the sides of the hood. Also imma be in the market for a new work truck any recommendations

Ouch! Evidently, you had a major vapor leak. The vapors built up and when you started the truck, a spark ignited them. The best you can do now, buy another truck of similar age and model and use your old one for parts. Hopefully just the engine compartment burned.

the engine compartment, the dash, and head liner. Seats and everything else are fine

headlights are fine but grill melted front bumper has some spots that melted and hood latch failed so the hood had to be pried open
