Imagine one of the four walls of your house is suddenly shaky and you can push it around by hand. You can:
1) ask yourself WHAT HAPPENED and why it IS NOT RIGHT, or
2) go outside and run some triangular braces to the ground and call it good

Adding the steering brace BEFORE getting the truck driving like it did off the factory floor is Option #2, for those who aren't tracking.

I'm afraid tariffs maybe killed the deal but CanCraft in BC rebuilds a nice box.

sadly i highly doubt this truck will ever be like it was off the factory floor lol i just hate to retire her even if i could afford to replace it at this point i be hard pressed to she just been good to me and still runs and drives decent for a 30yr old truck i gotta get my guy to really go through the front end i replaced all steering linkage like 5yrs ago or so but since have done outer tie rod on both sides and last yr all the ball joints. but keeping up with rust is the big thing i can't figure how to upload video i did of the steering freeplay with engine off tried to but won't let me

On my 96, the steering just sucked, I replaced some sloppy parts, and that helped some, but, adjusting the steering box made the most difference. I went from having a six inch dead zone, that had zero effect on direction of travel, to less than a quarter inch.... I was surprised at how well it worked. My wife had to keep reminding me that I was NOT driving the Firebird......

I had wonderitis with 86K on the truck when I got it 8 years ago. I replaced the trackbar with something like this; https://freedomoffroadusa.com/adjust...taHOdh3ssPktwE and the steering linkage for a 3rd gen Ram 1500/2500/3500. I have 35's on it now and it tracks straight. Only 92K on it.

It's more of a month or two thing.
