If I recall correctly, the harmonic balancer on my 5.9 magnum engine is one piece and has a ribbed belt pulley provision made into the balancer. Does anyone know if Chrysler ever make a separate ribbed pulley that bolts onto the 5.9 magnum balancer? I ask, as I see several replacement 5.9 magnum balancers without the ribbed crank pulley.

 

Yeah, the one-piece feller was the advent of later year trucks. Should be able to get the part number for the pulley from your favorite mopar website.

 

Do you know what years the bolt-on ribbed crank pulley was used on the 5.9 magnum?

 

My 96 had the bolt on pulley. My 98 is a v-10, and I haven't torn into that one....... So, don't know there.

 

Thanks for the updates. Looks like the crank pulley is a Mopar part number 53010222. It fits the 3.9 V6 and the 5.2 & 5.9 magnum motors. Needed 6 bolts to hold it onto the balancer (#6027028).
