I recently purchased a 97 Ram club cab short bed. I'm trying to get more information about this truck. It has the sport paint (painted grille). I wondering what else was equipped on this truck. Some trucks had an option list in the glove box. Is there anywhere on this truck that will list the options? Also, the aluminum rims were painted black. Did all rims on these trucks come silver? It seems to run well. It as the 5.9l v8. Thanks for you help.

I have found it very helpful. I have a THREAD on this forum about decoding some of the Equipment Listing specifications. For example the listing for the vehicle I am interested in, includes terms such as "Designed with Engineering Group #11, but can't find anything on Dodge Group #11 or the vehicle has the Convenience Group package, or Power Convenience Group, etc.. without a complete specifying of what those terms are describing. I am in a hunt for that clarification, if I find it, I'll post it here. Good Luck!

**also it will give you what looks like fair value on vehicles and in some cases, not mine, it can print the Original Sticker on the car when originally for sale - pretty cool!

 

If it has the original hood some models have the same glove box sticker on the hood by the latch catch but this can be a guess, almost like the glove box, though glove box trays are not commonly replaced, then RPO codes should be on a plate in the radiator core support area but you would need a good RPO code book to decipher it. To my knowledge in 97 the only wheel options were chrome clad or plain steel

I emailed Dodge Customer Service with my Vin and asked for the build specs. A few days later I was emailed back the entire build sheet for my truck for free.
