dude i'm glad someone figured that out i hadn't the faintest idea.. the only thing that i thought was it connected back into the battery through those wires.

good info to have.

should post that in the FAQ's section so everyone knows ya know?

well some one on another forum said he removed it from his truck (unpluged it) and he has been havin battery trouble ever since......

yea dude..never saw that before..i wonder if it would cause problems if you went with a yellow top or something...mabye a battery that isnt specifically desighned to go in our rams... i need to get a yellowtop

expensive but worht it... i install them all the time in sq sound cars (installed..past tense) mainly b.c they have multiple connecting points... the top posts usually used directly for the car..and the side mounted posts or bolts used for the audio so you dont overload one set of posts while the car is running.. mainly if your runing 2000+ watts,, even with caps... also they are great in cold climates..they come with some huge 1000 CAA with spins the hell out of your starter in cold weather... cant remember on the price..in the few huns if i remember correctly... thats also on the "list of crap i gotta get for the ram"

They seem to hold up better tham average, especially to high draw loads(can u say snowplow) but they are quite a bit more expensive. Not sure if I have one of those little things under my battery or not but if I do the type of batt must not make a diff. Still not convinced that it has anything to do with battery temp though.
