Default CTM Issues

Hello all, I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota 5.9L with about 180,000 miles, and I’m having issues with my headlights, wipers, and horn. I’ve been told the problem is likely the central timing module (CTM). I know where the module is located and I have the part number from my current unit (P56045452AK). My question is: does the replacement module need to have the exact same number, or can I use a cheaper alternative with a different part number? The exact-matching part I found is nearly $300, while others with different numbers are considerably less expensive. Any help or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There are two different versions of the CTM, standard, and high-line. I am guessing you probably have the high-line, thus, more expensive.
