My Ram has probably more than typical rust. 2 years ago my column gear shifter started flopping all over the place. I found a mechanic that was able to tack weld the gear shift control to the frame where it had been attached to a rusted bracket. Now it has broken loose again and I'm wondering if there is an after-market bracket that can be welded to the lower frame to reattach it? Has anyone found a permanent fix for this? Can't use the truck at this point and I really need the use of the plow.

Gonna have to fab something up. So far as I know, that isn't a common replacement part.
