So if you go to an Aftermarket Headlight On any second Gen most will find your High Beam Indicator Stays lit no matter if you are in low beams or high beams. This write up is to solve that in Quad AKA Sport Headlights with 2 bulbs per headlight.
Syep 1. Buy a 2 to 1 harness. They can be bought on Amazon.
Step 2. Get a cheap flathead sunglass screwdriver set or a set of terminal release tools. Again both can be bought on Amazon.
Step 3. You have to change the wire position on the HEADLIGHT side of the y splitter not the truck side. (you'll see it will be marked high beam on one, low beam on another, and the third will be blank. You will move the wires on the blank one)
Step 4. Use the 1.8x25 screw driver to pry off the white retainer on the back of the connector. Then, Insert the 1.8x25 (in mm) screw driver into the front on the connector in the square hole (bottom) and pry down towards the bottom of the connector while pulling on the wire with your other hand (last picture shows what I mean. The hand I'm using to hold the camera would be prying down on the screwdriver) You'll see from left to right with the clip facing up it goes Black, White, Red. That is wrong. When prying down you have to use some force, JUST DO NOT BREAK THE RETAINING TAB. When you are trying to pull the wire it will be tight as there is a seal on the wire to stop water from going into the connector.

Step 5. Before inserting the terminals use your screwdriver to straighten them out,as the cheap Chinese terminals will bend. The colors should be (going left to right and the clip on the connector facing up) White, Black, Red. Insert the terminal and using your screwdriver, carefully, push the water seal back in. And then reinsert the white retaining tab on the back of the connector.

BONUS: HEADLIGHT REVIEW: The headlights you see in the picture are from Amazon they offer them in black (sold out when I ordered or I would have gotten them to match the truck) and chrome you see here. They have sequential turn signals, and everything is LED (headlights, park lights, and turn signals). They are a true LED projector and they are bright. For around $250 you can't beat them and I would buy again.
I am also Running AlphaRex Lux series headlights in AlphaRex Black and they are super bright but for $900 it may not be in everyone's budget. They will plug and play just fine with a single bulb headlight. Still need the y splitter and will need to do this if you have the sport headlights. The AlphaRex headlights look like the new 5th Gen headlights with a white running light that turns to yellow when you activate the turn signal and they even have a neat little start up sequence. I am evening running AlphaRex taillights and love them for $400 as gain on AlphaRex Black (most expensive) but they have them also in chrome (cheapest) and black (mid grade). I like the design and I really like how the turn signal turned yellow when activated (good for my OCD) and again everything is LED so no bulbs. The reverse light are really bright.

I tried posting links to the headlights I have as you can find them cheaper on eBay, but it wouldn't let me. So just use Google lens image search on my picture and it should take you to them. I know these trucks are old but this may help younger kids buying them and I can now link to this thread on the Facebook group for second gens and this question has been popping up 6 times a day now.

Foglights: Use the kit on CJC Off Road website they are bright and they even make a kit for auxillary reverse lights with no wire splicing.
