Still on the hunt. Believe the issue is internal motor. I have “blow by” coming out of the breather going to the intake. Beginning to get oil build up in the tube. Going to get a compression tester and see what I get.

Did a compression test on the truck. Finds are

1 - 92#
3 - 125#
5 - 105#
7 - 125#

2 - 80#
4 - 80#
6 - 90#
8 - 120#

I put a touch of oil in 2 and 4 and they gave back 165 in 4 and 180 in 2.

Edit: forgot to mention, the 60 Series Detroit I use to run every day with a couple few many miles had a little more but not much more blow by than this girl does.....

Yup, question is do I just hone it and throw a set of factory or oversized rings in it like a diesel at times or does she have to come out and be bored.....

Need to measure the bores and see. New rings would likely be an improvement.... but, how much of one depends on the shape of the cylinder itself.
