Default New shocks or not for Ram 2000

My ram 2000 Quad Cab is really riding rough on the smallest bump. A mechanic told me he would be glad to replace them but that he would be only taking my money because Dodges ride rough any way. All I am asking is would it do me any good to replace the shocks that came with the truck with a better one or will I be wasting my money ?

Thanks

i would give it a try. you can install them yourself. its almost as easy as changing a headlight. im shockes where shot and the new ones really made a difference.

They're relativly cheap too even for good ones. Like Tani said, they're REALLY easy to do. Keep in mind though that you have a solid front end (assuming you have a 4x4). That makes the ride really rough right there. Its not like IFS where you hit a bump and only one wheel moves to absorbe the impact. With a solid axle when one side moves to absorb an impact, the other side moves the opposite direction [&:]
