Default tranny temp

hey there, is there a point to installing a trany temp gauge in a manual tranny?

or are they usually just benificail for a auto

thanks....

is it a complicated instal
i have done some research, and see that most just screw into either the drain plug.. or like a preasure test port, is this correct..

p.s I have a 8ft camper which i use in the summer, the temp gauge may come in handy!

I'm sure they're helpful for any trans, auto or manual. But I know where are trans pans out there with an extra hole in them for a temp guage to be screwed into. That seems like its the best way to go!
