Default Reverse Glow Guages

Anyone have the Euro Reverse GLow Guages on their truck? I think they look pretty awesome. How is the install? Do you need to remove the needles? What about the wiring for the power invertor?

Heres the set i was referring to....

I personally don't like the look of those, too ricer for me but they are a pretty good deal. If you want them go ahead. I just saw on Trucks! on Spike TV, Stacey replaced ones on a suv. I looked pretty easy to do. To remove the needles he had a little white placstic puller that i assume came with the kit. He said it was important to turn on the igniton and see where all the needles settle so you can set them when you put them back on i guess. The power inverter i don't know because his weren't reverse glowing ones, but it probably involves splicing into the existing power lines to the factory lights. May be tricky but if they give you good instructions I'm sure it'll be no problem.

Nope but I like the look of those but a lot of guys seem to have flame ones I think are pretty ugly.

cool. it was pretty easy. getting the hole cluster out was alittle pain in the *** but besides that it was alright. i think putting it all together to about 45mins to an hour. i think most of them were able to slip right over the needle. really the biggest problem was you have to drill 2 holes in the back of the case to run the wires out of. as for wiring it. i kind went the cheap way and wired it to the fuse box with a fuse and a little switch. i was going to wire them right into the headlight switch but i didnt want to take any changes. i would definatly do it. i have to sets. the first ones covered up the check engine light and the low oil pressure light so i bought another one. the second one i got had holes to see it them through and it was also a better quality. i would ask the guy to send you a pic of what the switch that it comes with looks like. the first one i got was this ugly crappy push button thing and the set i have in now have a metal switch that changes the color from blue to green and how bright it is.

ps: you can see in the pics how the ones installed have the check engine stuff and the other one (from the first set i got) has none.

whenever i get around to it im gonna get the nu image set that is a stainless brushed alum. look to it and when lit it turns a brilliant bright blue to match the paint on my truck... you can also get the covers that go with the HVAC and the headlight switch faces so everythign matches..

theres two models.. one that is one large "plate" and another that is made to look as if each gauge is seperate...
