Okay first let me introduce myself my name is Tom I've got a '96 Indy Ram and love it. So here is question #1 can anyone tell me the spec of the stock torqe converter and any sugestions on a new one mine is starting to get a little laggy. Ok now for question #2 anyone know what the stock rearend is and the gear ratio plus any sugestions for upgrades for the torque converter and the rear gears.
Don't know the specs, but if it is getting "laggy" your tranny is probably getting "laggy" also. the moderator on this forum has has good luck with apsprecision.com so you might contact them. There should be a tag on the rear end housing with the gear ratio on it.
Unless the rear-end has been re-geared by a previous owner, it is either 3.55 which was standard on Indy Rams or 3.92 which was optional. The rear-end itself is a Chrysler 9.25
oh... i second that motion on apsprecision.com heard nothign but good things from them guys... especially with dodge tranny issues and upgrades... good prices too ... sorry for the DP
