i paid $1,019 for my skyjacker. just remember you get what you pay for. got it from jegs. come with AAL. and you still have to buy shocks. and no thats the price for the kit, not installed

CHEAPEST website i found for lifts.. 5 inch lift with front coil springs and blocks in the back.. $880.00.. 5 inch lift with front spacers and rear blocks.. $700.00.. and they all come with shocks also!! i got a 3 inch rough country lift with shocks for 225.00 bucks!! cant beat it

 

like i said you pay for quality. look how cheap and crappy those control arms look. i wouldnt put that thing on my ride.

 

Well his business is located about 10 miles from me, but you have to pay for the shipping to his store. I had to pay to have my shocks delivered to him. So that is the shipping charge reason.

 

Well he just wrote me back, and no labor is not included here is the latest:

Labor on front and rear spring kit is $700.00 plus alignment of 89.95

front springs and rear blocks$560.00 plus alignment of 89.95

wait what kind of lift kit is this, skyjacker? would just do it yourself if you have the tools and such. it really not that hard. me and my buddy put mine in in half a day.

 

I have a very small garage and no flat surfaces around my home to do it. I probably don't have the tools either, but after looking at all the prices and how expensive lifts and tires really are, maybe I will just do performance upgrdes, exhaust, and other engine mods and save money while gaining power.

 

Okay, this is my first post too. I bought a 2001 2wd Ram 1500 a couple weeks ago telling myself i wouldn't work on it. I'm coming from three Chevy S10s all slammed to the ground and I know Jack Sh*t about lifting or lifted suspensions. I've been trying to research for the past few weeks but i've come up with nothing. I think i can pull about a $1000 from a bunch of S10 parts i have no use for anymore and would like to stretch that into a 5" suspension lift on my Ram. Brands i've heard are, SkyJacker, Tuff Country, Rough Country. What is worth the money? I know from lowering suspensions if somthing is crap then ur grinding your frame on pavement and i'm not gonna cut any corners when i'm high in the air. I'm familiar with most parts like spindles, coils, blocks, leaf springs, add-a-springs, shocks. But some other parts and problems like steering extensions, brake lines i don't know enough yet to know if i need to worry about that or even what to do.

I need someone to take me under a wing and just teach me or link me to a pretty forum that explains everything. This is a show truck not a rock climber so all i want is high, pretty, and smooth. Tech and installation links would be helpfull too, im too poor to pay labor too.

Berkner: try pavementsucks.com, they have a section on dodges, and a full thread on what to expect/look for for every type of lift on your dodge. could probably answer all of your questions. sorry for replying to the hijack thread...just trying to help out guys....

 

BTW, its in the Newbie section, under Dodge Ram lift solutions for new users...very, very helpful when lifting these trucks.
