Is there a window tint law in GA?
Thought Id spam out a new post on this. If there is a law what is the amount of tint? Both my truck and car has limo on it! I think in the south they are lax on this due to heat.
thanks

Ok zeekxxx, or anyone else, I have the perfect solution for this problem and I know it works because I have one.
Get a doctor (or optomitrist) to write you a presciption for tinted windows because extended exposure to bright sunlight causes you to get a migraine.
I keep mine in the glovebox with my registration and insurance.
Here in Pa the tint laws suck and if the cop is in a bad mood he will either write the ticket or hand you a razor scraper and wait till you remove it before he lets you leave.
I have actually only had to use my script one time, but the look on the troopers face was absolutely priceless!! I am just glad everything else with the truck was 100% legal because he wanted to find something to stick me with.
Being military zeekxxx, you should have no prob finding someone to hook you up.

It becomes more of an issue if your state/province has a city with HOV (High Occupency Vehicle) lanes. The police have to be able to determine if you have an occupant and tell wether it's a manequin or not. That's the main reason here in Ontario, particularly in Toronto where there are such lanes. If you're far from a big city the cops are usually less strict about it.
im not sure what percent my tint is but i know its pretty dark. living in woodstock, ontario (between toronto and london), i have never had any issues. even the people i know in toronto havent had any issues, limo tint or not. i really dont think the laws mean anything, it all has to do with the cop wanting to cause trouble or not.
It is now illegal for window tinting material to be applied to the rear, side and door windows of motor vehicles that does not allow for more than 32 percent of light transmission (plus or minus three percent).
"House Bill 20 corrected the language so the law applies to all vehicles, whether registered in Georgia or another state,"
I live in Arkansas and I have a tint exemption from my eye doctor to have my windshield tinted and I usually have to go to court to get out of the ticket. No police around here will accept the exemption, expecially state men, saying light sensitivity and whatnot isnt a valid excuse. It's bull**** because the difference between me and the 500 or so people with tint exemptions is I actually need my tint to drive at night or directly into the sun or I get blinded and have migranes and sick headaches. I really hate how they want to milk the money out of me. I guess I could get an exemption saying that my skin is sensitive to the sun like people on antibiotics or something, I don't know. I'm lucky though because the town where I live and go to school is lax on tint law enforcement, unlike the city where I have to do my business who will bust you in a heartbeat to see if you have drugs, and if they don't find drugs you get a tint ticket. I like sheriffs though, I've never been in trouble for tint by them, even at a drinking party I was at that got busted where they searched my truck. I had to open the doors so they could see in because their flashlights couldnt see in any of my windows.
Too bad I can't roll down my windshield when I see a cop.

I'll have to roll down my windows and open the sliding one if I drive through GA.

You got to be kidding? 32% That has to be the most strict and **** law I have ever heard of. With as hot as it is down there some body is a major *** hole for that law. Im all for safty of cops but Im also for keeping the sun out of my childrens eyes and keeping the heat down. I also like the tint I have because when my wife drives alone nobody can see that she is a single woman in the car alone. Im going to have to strip my tint or get an ugly wife!

UGLY DEFINED
An ugly woman walks into a shop with her two kids.
The shopkeeper asks "Are they twins"?
The woman says "No, he's 9 and she's 7.
Why? Do you think they look alike?"
"No," he replies "I just can't believe you got laid twice"!
