RE: Acceleration w/ 5.9L
And I looked at my tires and I got this: LT285/75R16 Is that the right number to tell the size (like 33's or whatever)?
There are too many factors (mileage, axle ratio, tires, options, etc) to compare trucks. The best way is to get some 1/4 mile or dyno comparisons if you feel power is low. BTW, A fresh engine can put out 30-50% more power than a 100k mile motor with low compression.

If there is no tag at the pumkin then there may be a label wrapped around the the axle shaft on the driver side. If there is nothing then go to the dodge dealer and ask for a printout of the spec sheet. You will need your V.I.N .
As far as wieght, there is not enough of a wieght difference between the two motors to effect the power.
And the gear ratio dilema, I run 35's with 3.56 and dont have a problem when it comes to power. I cant roast them but I still get good highway speeed.

I talked with a state mechanic not to long ago and he said he thought that some of the game warden Rams had it on the door sticker. Don't know for sure though.
