Default Another TB Question,

I have been looking around for a TB, I understand that Fastman is the best for the buck. What about Hughes Magnum TB
, it's a little cheaper for the Stage I TB. Any differences from the Fastman 50mm and the Hughes 50mm one? If so then what.

Thanks,

DMan

Shott, in his case that would be a 50 mm TB, he has a 5.2. Didn't want him to get mixed up...by the way, get the Fastman $225 if you mention this forum.

Thanks for the fast reply, I really want to buy Dan's Fastman TB, but does it really take two weeks to get the TB from him.

Thanks,

DMan

I've had mine for a while, I can't remember but I think it was about 10 days. Call him and talk to him. He's really cool and will be able and happy to answer all your questions.

Default RE: Another TB Question,

Just a little info on the TB's,not sure if you were talking the Hughes Billet or stock/bored Hughes TB -A good billet TB of a given mm will usually flow more than a bored stock TB of the same size due to the limited amount that a stock TB wall can be tapered. Example- Most Billet 50 mm TB's will flow about a 100 CFM more than a 50mm bored stock TB at WOT. Thats why it is best to select a TB by your CFM requirements. If your motor is stock, even a billet TB of 50mm may kill your bottom end enough that you would not like it where as a bored stock TB of 50mm would be just right. Most billet TB's that I have looked at will flow around 100 cfm more than a bored stock TB of the same mm due to the more radical taper allowed by the billet TB [especially at the intake end of TB] and smoother finish from higher quality material.
