i cut one of the inlet pipes off and marked it then i stuck a crow bar in the hole and beat what was left of the honny comb into small enough pices that i could shake them out and then i welded the pipe back on where i marked it then smoothed the weld and if you look right now you cant tell it's been touched.

im also thinking about doing this and i was told you can just take off the cat back... and then get a pointed bar and hammer out the cat.... and hten turn on the truck and rev it a little to get the honey comb type deal out... after a little of that just bolt back up

Pretty much how you do it...right now mine is rattling pretty bad, and I plan on doing this today, if I can get my catback loose enough to pull aside to punch the cat out

I have had the cat on my 1999 360 gutted and I did not like the tinny hollow sound that came from it, so I got it removed and the O2 sensors put back on and now it runs and sounds alot better. I have had it out for about 6000 kms and it still runs fine and the check engine light never came on

by gutting the cat/ romoving the cat.. will you notice a drop in fuel millage... like get less mpg.... or is that only if you take the sensor out.... also if you take the cat off and replace it with a 2 1/2' tubing how do you put the censor back in.... and if you dont will that make a diffence in anything
