removing cat... will it help or hurt performance?

alright im going to be putting 2 1/2' dual dyno max cat backs on my truck... now im also thinking about replacing my cat with a straight 2 1/2' piece of pipeing... will this help or hurt performance?

It'll probably help it a little. Unless you live in Cali, you won't have to worry about there being any post-cat sensors since you have a 95 Ram.
