yeah, that smoothie thing from geno's looks nice, but as i said before, i have the manual trans. and cant stand to have the console down, it gets into my elbow space when i shift and i cant run the pattern smoothly.

i think i might look into retrofitting the drop-downs from a 98+ model, i should be able to do it, im in a custom fab class at school, and ive done harder things before...

ill post pics and instructions if i can get it to look half decent.

I guess I was smokin' crack when I thought I saw the floor mounted cupholder system in a Ram. I had another great idea of moving the cupholder to the floor and modifying the cupholder as a base for my handheld GPSR for those off-road cacheing adventures.

But the one mounted on on the center console looks good since I always have it down in my Manual Trans 1500. It works great as a perch for my Parson Jack Russell Terrior (sic).

Thanks for the link.

I might buy one of those, only because I hate leaning over to grab my Beer and having it spill when I decide to take a turn too sharp... Even though in the 98+ models with the drop down center cup holder and the adjusting clamps, it still spills...

I hate it when cops pull me over and I have spilt beer everywhere... I usually ask them to hold my beer while I sign my ticket...

(j/k about the last statement and beer, but not kidding about spilling my drink)

I bought one of these from them on EBay last month. Works well with an automatic. Gets in the elbow room when reaching for the 4X lever, but not that big of a deal. No more drink spillage or condensate on the radio. No more advertising your beer brand either. Geno's tells you how to adjust the console latch.

Chopper, you drive around while drinking too eh? I hate it when people look over and can tell that I got a Heinekan or Amber Bach in my hand... Grr[:@]

Yeah, hope this helps bud, that center console thing isnt that bad of an idea, better than the ones that hand on the window

Yeah, I think I'll look for one of these. It looks like a handy place for the Bong.

I went to the dealer and got one for 70 bucks, that was at my cost working at a shop too. Ouch is all I can say, I think it looks nice but it sure likes to rattle when it is down. Not worth the 70 but oh well.

I have one for my 96 because I couldnt stand searching for the clock on my aftermarket radio when i had my coffee cup in the cab. Well worth the few dollars in my opinion.

If you do pick one up and your console lid doesnt close, Please dont yell at the supplier. You need to adjust your console latch, which is easy with vise grips

If anyone wants a pic of what mine looks like, ill snap one off for you. I like them cause there deep as hell and my big old coffee cup fits perfect.
