I was browsing through ebay the other day and spotted this. Not the cheapest solution but does look pretty stable from the picture...

^^^^ That is the BEST solution to this problem. It is also available at http://www.genosgarage.com/ I believe it's a little cheaper there as well.

yea i have that same problem-
best way ive found to take care of it is get one of those thick coozies and just leave it in the cupholder. it doesnt keep drinks from EVER spillin but it does help

I'm trying to figure out how to retrofit the dropdown cupholder from a 98+. but that dash is straight across and the 97 & prior have a curvature to them, so I'm not sure it can be done and look even halfway nice.

I have seen that little deal posted above and it looks like the only recourse for now.

i have that cupholder that was posted above..mainly b/c i chew and i hated having to lean over and reach for my spitter in the OEM cup holder...and if i hit a good enough bumb no matter how tigh ti had the clamps on it...an open pepsi bottle full of cophenhagen would pop out ever so often

that ittle cup hold is awesome!!! i didnt pay that much for it..i cant remember where i got it from but i love mine!!!!
