1998 Ram Keyless entry
Somehwere along the line the keyless entry remote for my '98 was lost. I have electric locks, I'm pretty darn sure they all came with the remote at that point. Anyway, I think a replacement from Chrysler is aroudn $100, does anyone know of an aftermarket unit that works with the factory receiver? For $100 I can deal with getting in the truck with the key, it'd be nice if I could find a key fob remote for cheap, though.
Actually, they didn't all come with them at that point. It was still an option IIRC. It depended on what package you had (ST, SLT, Laramie), or it was also selectable as a standalone option. GM is the only company at that point that seemed to have made it a standard option on all their vehicles.

remote locks were an option i have a 98 and dont have keyless entry. check out the merry christmas thred and look up CTM you will have the highline or premimum CTM if you heve keyless entry it also lists what ouhter options you will have if you do have keyless entry. i got a cheap alarm about 100 bucks i think and it had keyless entry as well it just splices a cupple relays into the lock wires
Problem is if you dont have the original remote you'll have to take it to the stealership anyway to get the new one programmed. Or you can try this site for a local locksmith to see if any cheaper. http://www.keylessride.com/company/locations.asp
