Default Trans problem

Hi all
I`m a norwegian guy new to this forum.
I just bought a 99 RAM 2500 4x4 with the Cummins Diesel and automatic transmission.
I have problems with the transmission shifting in and out of converter lock up.
When I get up to about 50 MPH and over the converter hunts in and out of lock up every 5 seconds!!
It seems to have been geting worse since I got the truck.
Any sugestions how to fix this, or do I need a new converter or trans?

Thanks
Vegard

adjust the bands and drain the fluid in the trans, clean the speed sensor. Also clean the APPS sensor and might as well clean the IAT sensor.

the 99' diesels and on only have an APPS (accelerator pedal position sensor), not a tps like 94' through 98' diesels

Hi guys
Just an update, the problem is solved
After checking that the APPS was functioning I contacted a trans specialist here in Norway and he told me to reflash the trucks computer.
A local Dodge dealer did that for me and installed an updated version of the trans control program. Now the trans shifts mutch firmer and the lock up functions perfectly
It only cost me 50 USD.
