ok so this is completely unrelated to anything dodge.

as i was walking around campus today i saw a state cop ford excursion. it had tow hitches on the sides under the rear drivers side door, and under the rear bumper. it looked really really wierd to me to see hitches there. anyone have any idea why they put the hitches there??? and they are not the pansy hitch recievers either they are the full blown tow a house down 2 inchers.

the only thing i could come up with was to make a road block by locking the suv's together.

anyone know really why they do this??

hum, the only other time ive seen that is to put a high lift jack in or to pull it out of a ditch sideways.

 

They are used to hook-up a large step. They can place guys on the step for quick, semi hidden deployment.

yea so you can deploy your buddies asap for beer runs and cut seconds off the beer run time by elimnating the fact they gotta pile out of the rig through the doors...wicked smart

 

that and you can pile more doughnuts there too and serve them buffett style
