another quick question everyone keeps telling me to stay away from thornbirds is that because of the performance or because of the riding on the road?

I heard thornbirds are actually pretty bad in mud, especially gumbo. The grooves are pretty tight together kinda like the BFG all terrains.

I've never heard of Ground Hawgs so I dunno about them, but if your in Gumbo mud I'd go with some TSL's or maybe LTB's but I hear LTB's have a kind short life span. 20,000 ish. But they're cheap!

Just an FYI, there aren't any mudding tires out there that last very long on the road, or ride very well. That's why most people that mudd have a different set for driving on the road.

ok first of all thornbirds are the worst tire ever created by man kind!!!!! second of all. why in the name of **** would you want boggers for a street tire. you insane unless your going to be driving it offroad ever day and i mean hardcore off road. boggers will make your truck sound like a damn frieght train going down the road. they wear really quickly because there not radial. they suck in rain as you could tell by looking at them. i would say ground hawgs but i really think you need to do some more tire research. theres alot better tires that are much better for the street and offroading. just read in this section and you will see.

i'd suggest a bfg m/t. or the cheaper version, Mudking xt's. had a set of 32x12.5 mudkings on my old gmc jimmy. nothing held that truck back besides its lack of power when your tryin to spin 32 inch mud tires in swamp mud. they went for 110 a piece for 32's.. thought that was a good deal for those tires.

Personally, I wouldn't run any swamper on pavemnet, unless you got money to throw away - and a lot of it! I'd go with either M/Ts or maybe a good set of A/Ts. They don't look as good as a swamper, but they perform much better on the road. Swampers are made for off roading.
