Advice & Part numbers
I'm looking to replace exhaust system on my 97 1500 w/ 5.2 Auto. Intesrested in MagnaFlow Cat, Flowmaster 50 Delta series single exhaust. Has anyone done this and what are the part numbers. I read here recently about specific diameters for inlet/outlet and was wondering what would be the best for what I want to do with truck.
I plan to chip it with Superchip or hypertech and replace TB with FastMan 50mm. I don't race the truck and drive it pretty mild with about 60% city-40% highway. I do plow snow with the truck so I don't want to scrifice low-end. I'm just looking for a truck capable of moving when I want it to.
Ant input would be appreciated and thanks.

I can help you out on the cat. The part number from Summit Racing is: MPE-23285
This is the cat and Y pipes and runs $149.95
I have a Magnaflow Muffler, so I can't help you out with the Flowmaster. I have not heard the flowmaster but the Magnaflow sounds pretty B-A IMO
I use my truck for a daily driver and for towing my trailer, so I stayed with a single exhaust and with stock pipe size, 2.5" between the cat and the muffler, stock tail pipe, I think it's 3" from the muffler back. More concerned about low end than high end...

Thanks for the reply. What Muffler did you use? Any part numbers would be appreciated. Yeah, I'm looking to stay with the low end myself. How's your MPG with the setup your running? Thanks again for the help!
The part number from Summit for the muffler I have is: MPE-12286, it is the closest I could find that would go right into the stock location. $87
Stock, I was getting 14mpg doing about 70 to 75 on the hwy. Now I get 17 mpg doing 70 to 75 on the hwy. So, I'm pretty happy with the setup I have now. Once my bank account recovers I might look at improving the intake side.
I ran with just the cat and muffler installed for a few weeks, (before the headers), it sounded great just like that. The headers made it a little louder. I can't keep my foot out of the gas now, love the sound of those pipes!!!
