Default Center Console Light?

ok - this isn't as cool of a topic as axles, or tires, etc, but i was just wondering the other day if anyone has installed some sort of light in their center console? I was driving my truck the other night, and I wanted a piece of gum, and i knew it was in the one compartment, but i couldn't located it until i turned ALL of the interior lights on. It made me want to install a light inside, that would go off when you closed the lid. Has anyone had any luck with this? I know it wouldn't be difficult... I may just go ahead and tackle it this summer (once my garage is done being built). heck - while i'm at it, i'll probably throw in a 12v power outlet in there as well for charging up the cell... Anyone with any thoughts - please chime in! thanks!

You could add overhead map-lights like from a Minivan or Stratus. Minivan ones are nice because you just press the bulb and it turns on. I just stick my gum or pack of smokes in the 4x4 shifter boot for easy access.[8D] No matter what it's not a hard job to do and it can be pro-looking if you just take the time.
