you also mentioned 20" rims... the heavier the rims, the harder it is to get them spinning, that plus your 3.55's and dual 3" out's are killing you.

get the exhaust setup for dual 2.5" max, this should bring back enough torque to get you moving better. you should use the 2.25" rule if it's a 4x4 QC or LB. those trucks are heavier than the 2x4's and need all the torque they can get.

how is the intake side setup?

I had the same problem ya'll do and after seeing steves timing chain I decided to change my own and advance the timing 4 degrees. I unleashed a ton of power doing this even with the torque converter going bad I still have alot of power. My suggestion would be to change the timing chain it will cost you less than $150 to do thats including oil and antifreeze because you need to drain both and all of your gaskets and the front seal.

Wich timing chain did you use? Did it have the marks on it to advance the timing?

Did you see any downside to doing this- mpg, pinging, etc.?

well since you dont know im asuming you havent changed them so have a 98 5.2 4x4 and stock is 3.55 gears prob what you have unles you have an offroad edtion so your tires should be ok for that tire size. is it pretty much stock? any modds? with the 5.2 you wont be spinning your tires all over the place i mean i can squak them with mine but nouthing spectaculer
