Default 2 inch springs

If I buy a pair of 2" coil springs from jegs and use them to level out the front end of my truck, I shouldnt run into any problems like needing new shocks or anything should I?

no you will be ok but what condition are your old shocks in if there the stock ones or in not so good shape it is a good time to change them, and get ones 2" taller

the oem shocks are junk .. i got a set of cheepy procomps on my ride and felt a world of difference when i swapped them out... just food for thought...

post a link of them springs your talkin about id like to check them out...
