About how much would shipping be from summit on the full y-pipe setup, which i think was 120 bucks. I am beginning to think that it might be cheaper to do that since it requires no welding, and if i got a single cat i would have to get it welded somewhere (at like a midas or something, i think). About how much does it cost to get a cat welded on if i were to but the cat myself and bring it there???

Thanks

first off .. its a good idea to get the downpipes (y pipe ) anyway.. youll know they are new and its easier to put it on that way...

the one form summit is the one i got... great peice... easy to put in.. bolted right up to my 01... even though it says it doesnt (summit says atleast)

the cat comes with one pipe (passenger side) already welded on and im place... and the drivers side down pipe slips over the inlet tube on the cat... you could possibly clamp it but i wouldnt suggest it..clamps suck and i break them all the time making sure there tight and dont leak... they do anyway... id get it welded... as for price youd have to call around... iknow the midas here wont weld... id find a good welding or sheetmetal shop to do the work..or even a performance exhaust shop... i bolted everything up and then tack welded it and then took it out and welded it on my bench..made it much easier but took alot longer... prettymuch test fitted the entire system like 3 times before i made any welds... i bought a welding machine just for that project and learned myself how to weld so i didnt ahve to pay anyone to do the work that i could possibly do..welding is fun as hell and now i look for crap to weld b/c i wanna get better... i wanna learn to TIG and buy a nice miller tig machine sometime... tig is where the money is at!!!!

hope this helps!
