The Magnum Engines book says to use new bolts, but it doesn't say anything about them being TTY.
There is a specific sequence they need to be tightened down in. And the torque numbers are 50ft-lbs, then 105ft-lbs, then 105ft-lbs again.

Shott- felpro it is
Yeah the book says to repalce bolts, but does not mention whether the originals are re-usable. I am talking about replacing heads with moderate use, so, Am i going to get good torque results replacing the heads with the same head bolts

TTY= Torque to yield. In other words, this is the new age engineers' way of foregoing a lock washer or teflon nut. The plan is that when the robot drives a bolt in to a specific torque, that the stretch whithin the bolt acts as lock. It is common knowledge that the intake bolts are tty because, being a major flaw of the magnum motor, intake bolts are commonly bought and sold. The heads have a sturdier/beefier gasket. I am hoping to re-use those bolts
