Default new exhaust installed!

Just got a new exhaust installed on my 01. Took out the 2.5 in/out magnaflow and went 3 inch from the cat back with a Flo Pro muffler. It sounds sweeeet! Doesnt pop nearly as much as the magnaflow, nice deep rumble at idle, mean growl when you get on it, and just a nice deep mellow hum on the highway unlike the droning and resonating of the magnaflow. Guy at the shop said that muffler would last a long time. Got it for 48 bux through performance peddler. I can see my gas mileage going down now so I can listen to the exhaust, lol.

I don't have headers, just the stock manifolds and a single 3 inch system. I wanted to keep my low end so I went with the single instead of duals. I am convinced that since I have a 5 spd the popping is going to be a bit worse, but the Flo Pro isnt as bad as the magna or glasspack I had before that.

I like the popping from my 5 speed, if you wind it up decent in 1st and let off it, it turns more into a loud crackling. I did however found out that the State Patrol didnt like it as much as I did

if you wanna keep your low end your not confined specifically to just 3" single... a 3" single and dual 2.25's almost have the same surface area in piping ... its jsut a matter of opinion really... duals sound different then singles do and obviously look different... all a matter of what you like...

staties always find a way to ruin your day

oh he didnt ruin he destroyed it, he hated my exhaust, didnt like the cracked windshield, said I needed to get my address changed on my lisence (because they switched us over to fire numer addresses instead of RR's) and he said that my window tint was illeagal, even though it came from the dealer that way [:@]
