cant seem to find one that we used to have and never used but ive seen a variet of these ones around.. the ones with the 2 seperate modules work the best from what i hear (fellow installers that have used them to trace down complex wiring in nav and sat applications)

well i did have a prob with a dead batt a while back...auchually its what brought me to this site lol it turned out to be in the seatbelt mechanisms so i just took the wire that was live all the time and put a relay in it so wen the trucks off its disconected ill eventually pull the mechanisms apart wen i get to it lol mut ive been good for a cupple months now so that leads me to belive its shorted after the fuse as well

yah i wish i could rember what the tester thinggy was called too oh well ill just do it the hard way. the prob with most things on ebay for me is ither they dont ship to canada or the shipping to canada is outragous. ive never uses the ones with 2 modules but i have seen them. i dont do that compled of wirring to warrent them im thinking never done a nav or sat system thow i have done some sat phones lol not quite the some thow

i brought my multy meeter home and just stuck it in the fuse to see what it was drawing for amps and it was jumping outa range so in thinking its deff a short not a bad r switch or anything like that.

i suspose i could just take my mill candle power light and shine to out the back window then id have BU lights

yea.. a sport like out the rear window can work too lol

what you can do to see if its just a wire banging against something thats metal and shorting is check the draw (amps) and the resistance in the line and when you have a good view of the meter shake the truck..or start it up and drive forward and jam the brakes.. if the reading jumps all over the place (if you can get it in range) then itll lead to a wire thats loose and or dangling... ahd that problem on a cadilac nav system i installed.. cadys are always a PITA anyway
