Default Plenum Pan Replacement

I am getting ready to replace my plenum pan over spring break (if the weather is nice), and I was wondering about a couple of things. First, is the APS kit with the manifold gaskets adn new bolts the way to go? It is really the only kit I have heard alot about. The second question is for people who have actually done it. Did you replace the gasket dry, or did you put any type of liquid gasket material in there as well? I plan on doing this only once, so I wanat to make sure I do it right.

replace the bolts and use the felpro gasket. you do not need any sealant on the gasket when you assemble it.

For me it was actually a few cents cheaper to get the less expensive APS kit (w/out bolts and gasket) and then go to Advanced Auto and get the Felpro gasket git and new bolts. So its pointless to get the moreexpensive kit with that stuff just to turn around and get the Felpro stuff.

I used the felpro gasket and the "Right Stuff" sealant suggested in the APS instructions. Might have been overkill, but it has held since ~Thanksgiving. Only oil in my intake after that was from pcv boss. First fix with the metal gasket lasted around three weeks.

Same thing happened to me. Kit said to take a drill bit and twist it with your fingers into the holes. That turned out to be alot like catching a fly with chopsticks.
