Front hub nut size??
94 Dogde Ram 1500 PU 4x4.
Can anyone tell me what size nut holds on the front axle & hub on? It is the slotted one that you place a cotter pin thru. Mine is coming off in pieces & the dealer/stealer wants $22.00 for a replacement. I'm sure I can get one at a auto parts store much cheaper. Need to know what size the thread is.

you may as well go to the dealer, when I got my truck, the dink who owned it before me melted off the old axle nut with a torch and used a lug nut off a semi to replace it and stripped out the stub shaft [:@] Anyway, all the part stores I called and went to, none of them carried the nut I needed and if the ordered it, it would have been close if not excat to the dealer price.
Just get the OEM nut, safer that way, stub shafts are F@#*ing expensive!
